It’s cool that they recognize Gundam Wing was one of the first popular Gundam series to be aired in the west. It was an excellent time for the franchise’s exposure back in the 90’s.

It didn’t exactly walk out of a factory. That "factory" you see, is actually a completely custom built Gundam hangar. So not only did they build a 1:1 scale moving animatronic Gundam, but they also built a giant 1:1 scale, in-universe custom hangar to house it. It’s a pretty big deal.
